Narrow Escape Amid Kitchen Kerosene Fire Explosion
Last Thursday Mrs. Wm. Chase attempted to start a fire in the kitchen range and poured kerosene on the coal causing an explosion. She was badly burned on the face and thrown against the wall. Mr. Chase, at the barn, rushed home, extinguished the blaze, and treated her face with ointment. The incident was narrowly less serious.
