The Commercial Club authorized President H A Balle to name a five member committee to urge a fish hatchery at Lake Metigoshe per Representative E L Garden's bill. Other committees were named to inspect Bottineau roads and streets, study guide boards, examine circus licenses, and consider bonds for road construction. D R Carlson named secretary with 25 percent of dues, and officers to form a legal incorporation of the club.

Soo Train Strikes Team at Kramer
Omemee Herald reports the Soo train delayed Tuesday morning after a farm horse team owned by Adolph Feller was struck at Kramer. The horses were killed and the sleigh demolished, requiring the engine to back up to clear debris. Mr. Feller suffered several serious bruises but is not expected to have permanent injury.

George Fitzmaurice Die in Minot Hospital After Killing Gusta Nelson
George Fitzmaurice died Saturday morning at 8 10 in a Minot hospital following a fatal shooting of Gusta Nelson of Mohall. The killing occurred during a drunken confrontation over Nelson attending a party against Fitzmaurice’s wishes.

Tragedy Ends After Life-or-Death Fight Linked to University
The man, about 33, hovered between life and death since January 26, the day of the tragedy, and his death ends state authorities’ pursuit. He had been formally under arrest after the murder with little hope of recovery. His Crystal, North Dakota parents and siblings were present as he died. The body will be sent to Crystal for burial. He studied at the University of North Dakota 1897 to 1902, earning athletics distinction yet failing to graduate. After leaving Grand Forks he drank heavily, sought alcohol treatment three times, and declined due to a pitiful state.

Friends from Bottineau Cando Leeds Minot and Rugby met at the First National Bank in Rugby to form the Great Northern racing circuit.
