A literary meeting program features The Haunted Mansion by four girls and three boys. A large High School party hosted by Miss Crissie Finlayson near Bottineau was enjoyed by many students.

University notes report Convocation speaker President Frank Weld of Moorhead Normal spoke on The Development of One s Self. Basketball games were played with Emerado and Warren, all wins for the University. High school participation limited to Drayton and Northwood so far. Chas D Hurry of Michigan U02 will visit around Feb 1, and May 20 is set for high school principals meeting with the previous evening hosting the declamatory contest. Thursday was day of prayer for colleges with services, Rev A C Stevens spoke in class, and Rev Herman P Fisher spoke on Some Famous Americans Whom I Have Known and Heard.

Drunken cut affray at Slette home injures three
In the mountains northwest of town a drunken quarrel at Anton Slette’s home left him with stab and slash wounds and his stepson injured. Ronning and the younger Slette were arrested after the fight. Mrs Slette aided by moving to a neighbor and others said Ronning claimed to have fallen with blood on his hands.
