In a district court Judge Goss sentenced Joseph and Charles Peltier to be hanged by the neck until dead at the penitentiary at Hisamarck for the murder of F. W. Seidel. Sa-Ke-She-Wesunk received a life term for killing Alexandra Seidel. Sheriff McKinnon ordered to take prisoners to Bismarck within ten days.

Senator W. B. Allison Dies After Illness in Dubuque
United States Senator from Iowa W B Allison died at his Dubuque home Tuesday afternoon from heart failure after a period of semi unconsciousness since Saturday. Born March 2, 1829, in Perry Ohio, he practiced law, served in the Civil War and Congress before winning a Senate seat in 1873. A long-standing public figure, his career included Republican conventions and a staff role with the governor during the war.
