The Bottineau County Board of Commissioners met Monday with full attendance. Auditor George H. Hebert was sworn in and began duties. Duncan Stewart Pioneer Farmer Died After Long Illness
Duncan Stewart a longtime farmer four miles north of the city died Friday April 5 after a cancerous growth in the alimentary tract. Born May 8 1857 in Ontario he came to North Dakota in 1883 and married Evaline Turner in 1885. He leaves his wife and nine children including Lillian Arseth Ella Wareing William Mary Williams Rena Burns Elmer Victor Abbie and Thelma. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Baptist church with Rev. E A Schlaman officiating and burial at Oak Creek cemetery.
