Dining car workers face health tests under plan
Pennsylvania lines plan quarterly health examinations for dining car staff including dishwashers cooks and waiters to prevent communicable diseases. Workers with any illness will not be rehired without a certificate of ability from company physicians. Lodgings at layover points will ensure sanitary conditions. Other railroads may adopt the system if successful.
