N J Thorstenberg and family of Lindsborg Kansas traverse to Blackfoot Idaho by Ford car with five people and a dog. They traveled 210 miles the first day and 233 the second amid rain and delays, gathering a large sendoff from local citizens before beginning a new life.
The population grows as families welcome new babies. Virgil Baldwin and wife announce a seven pound son. James Gibbs and wife celebrate a seven pound daughter. Joseph Wilkinson and wife greet a six and three fourths pound daughter. Reuben Slack and wife have an eight pound boy.
Mahin Cox of Basalt fell from a canyon wall while sheep hunting in Long Valley Utah and was found by searchers the next morning. A former tragedy nearby recalls his little brother's drowning in a creek near their home about four years ago.
Sealed bids for exclusive fair grounds privileges will be opened June 22. Items include ice cream popcorn and peanut cigar pop and lemonade lunch counter. Highest bidders receive rights. multiple bids require separate envelopes and payment by July 2 to E A Rockwood, chairman.

Word arrived Saturday that C N Stilson of Spokane, brother of Leroy Stilson, drowned near Pine Creek Bridge on the Snake River frontier. A $200 reward was offered for his body by relatives as Frank Ertel, F P Shuttleworth, and others headed to the area to search. Stilson had recently relocated to Idaho Falls, buying land and planning a large wheat operation after moving from north Idaho.
Eastern University Professor Manfred James Holmes of Normal University TI praised Idaho as ahead of the east in technical education after touring the State academy in Boise. He said Idaho’s plant and youth training surpassed eastern and middle western offerings and noted his Idaho visit while accompanying his guest, Miss Eva Hayball, Idaho Falls.
Hotel inspector James H. Wallis vows to close noncompliant hotels and rooming houses under the new fire protection law. He says patrons must be protected, targeting even remote Idaho establishments after a fatal Iola incident at Kennedy Inn.

The Wright company discusses presenting advances to revolutionize aviation with A F Barens summoned to a conference. This follows Wilbur Wright’s belief in joint efforts with Ogilvie to improve aircraft technology.
A new cooperative focused on Bingam County producers forms with a 2500 capital stock and 25 shares. Directors include L. W. Van Aiken E. M. Snyder A. Merkley D. J. Spraker and J. B. DeHart. The group aims to handle fruit supplies, promote home sales, and expand markets with a large warehouse planned on the Short Line. Patronize All Home Industries. Printing split among Blackfoot offices. Membership at fifty, limited to two hundred. B. M. Snyder elected president Henry Dann vice president C. V. Fisher treasurer J. B. DeHart secretary and manager.
Thursday afternoon the contract was let to Pelkey brothers by Bond brothers for the erection of a mammoth elevator and warehouse used with their commission business. The Blackfoot Farmers Milling Co have let the contract and work has begun on four steel grain tanks to store several thousand bushels of grain and speed handling of farmers’ product.
