Boise reports Mayor Fred R. Reed will not enter the Republican primary for Idaho's congressional seat. He cites commitment to state development work and personal restraint from politics, saying his efforts should focus on growth rather than running for office.
W Parkinson, buyer of the Clegg farm, has moved from Franklin Idaho to a forks of the Blackfoot and Snake rivers property. The large riparian ranch is famed as a top local stock and agricultural operation. He brings a fine herd including a thoroughbred Percheron stallion and invites inspections of his stock at the big farm.
The Delmonico Cafe changes hands from O'Connor and Taylor who ran it through the winter to the Misses Balke on Saturday. The new proprietors are experienced cooks and will likely uphold the cafe's good reputation. Mrs O'Connor will take a rest before pursuing another business venture.
