Austrian forces press the southern Tyrol campaign driving Italians from positions along the Laguna valley. War department figures show 15th and 16th Austrian advances near Roberete with renewed attacks along the front. Folgoria plateau eastern end captured as borders are approached.
Leonard Rudolph Glyllenpalm, a member of an old Swedish family, confessed to the brutal double murder at a Stockholm bank after blood stains on his clothing matched evidence. The bank manager was killed by hatchet and a woman clerk shot dead. a Swedish woman who saw him leaving the bank identified him to police. Harry Kronig, a student in Los Angeles, is set to return home for vacation.
Report dated the 21st says sixteen bandits led by Alejandro Domin guez and Pedro Castillo were killed near Madera when 26 Hearst ranch cowboys surprised them 40 miles southwest. The raiders had stolen cattle from Hearst. several prisoners were captured, including Pedro Castillo.
Albuquerque May 23 Everything is in readiness for the biggest fight card in this state since 1912. Boxing program directed by Louis Newman and Billy McCarney features three ten round scraps on Memorial Day May 30 with three classes of bouts between evenly matched men.
