Funeral of Mrs. Gertrude B. de Abeyta

The funeral for Mrs. Gertrude B. de Abeyta was held from her daughter Manuela A. de Lopez’s home in El Bosque to the Catholic Church with interment in the Catholic Cemetery. She died on Tuesday after a period of illness and is survived by two sons and three daughters, two brothers Rafael and Ramon Ba ca, and one sister Faustina B. de Sanchez.

New School Board Organized Amid Swearing In

On Monday night the retiring board held its last meeting and the new board was sworn in. Kennebeck was reelected president, Daniel L. Romero named clerk, and Antonio Gilbert joined as the third member. A further meeting on Monday the 19th will elect the superintendent and teachers for the Belen Schools.
