Post Office Alters Money Orders For Easier Transfers
On July 1 the postoffice department changed how money orders are drawn making them as flexible as travelers checks. Any postoffice authorized to handle these orders can issue them, simplifying transfers across government offices and aiding travelers. The move allows remittances to be cashed from headquarters anywhere.
