Petrograd reports a German airship attacked Libau yesterday for the third time in the war. Nine bombs fell with no damage, the airship was hit by Russian artillery and a tug, and it sank seven miles from Virgen after crew were rescued. Germany planned Baltic Zeppelins bases for Russian operations.
Dr Radclff and Mr Gooch visited the 8th grade last Tuesday. Self government is trialed with success in Miss Devlins room. Debating next Friday concerns Columbus praise versus Washington defense. New staff include Dr Compton and Mr Lucero. Miss Long resigns to study at Draughons El Paso. Music education begins across grades led by Mrs Fox. Judge Spicer departs for Socorro. Tucumcari reports the death of Suis Salazar found in a cabin 17 miles southeast of town. He was last seen with his horse. authorities suspect foul play with brass knuckles and binding marks. The body was transported to the town as investigators note a torn scene and signs of struggle.
Cairo dispatches describe a brisk fighting east of El Kantara as Turkish forces engage in small skirmishes with British and Egyptian troops. Casualties include one officer and four men wounded. reports say Turkish invasion has begun and forces are seen near the Suez Canal with seaplanes bombing nearby positions.

Warden John B. McManus of the state penitentiary arrived in Albuquerque to escort two convicts back to Santa Fe and found a third, Enrique Salas, a paroled inmate, who shot through his room partition thus violating parole. The two recaptured convicts were Rafael Benavides and Juan Zamora, who had escaped from the Isleta road gang and were returned by Benavides’s father.
