A huge crowd is expected from Belen Javales Los Chavez Tome and nearby areas for a Los Lunas dedication including a 9 am program led by Rev Docher with speeches by Governor W C McDonald Attorney General Frank W Clancy and Nestor Montoya. Vacation News From Friends In The East

Word reaches friends of Paul B Dakies that he is enjoying his vacation in the east visiting several cities this past week and keeping in touch by postcards. Mrs Saturnino Baca and son Herman spent the week at Abo and nearby Manzano mountains on an outing. The News is late due to paper delay. B I Griswell state agent for several fire insurance companies was in town earlier this week.

Rail mail service eyed for Albuquerque to El Paso

Businessmen across the Rio Grande valley push for daylight railway mail trains between Albuquerque and El Paso. A signed petition reached Washington as local postmasters hold similar requests. If approved, orders could be mailed in Albuquerque and delivered next morning to San Marcial and beyond, boosting parcel post and express business. Santa Fe officials will review the plan at Topeka with winter schedules. Investigators Black and Gardner visited, weighing feasibility and office space needs for a chief railway mail officer in the federal building.

Orus Day September 9 Circus at Denver Streets

Al G Barnes Big Three Ring Wild Animal Circus promises two complete performances on September 9 in Denver. The show features 350 trained animals including lions elephants camels tigers and bears. It travels in twenty five railroad cars with 300 staff and is supervised by Al G Barnes. A street parade led by military bands departs show grounds at 10:15 a.m. with two waterproof tents hosting 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. shows.
