Nine Labor Unions Favor Parade Plan During Albuquerque Fair
Representatives of nine Albuquerque labor unions met with Secretary Tom Binkert of the state fair association and endorsed postponing the city Labor Day parade to join a larger industrial parade during fair week. Unions include Carpenters Bricklayers Masons Plasterers Painters Cigar makers Brewery workers Blacksmiths and Electricians. A committee will seek plumbers Barbers Grocery clerks and bootblacks support and aim to involve trainmen in the labor display while the State Federation of Labor meets in Albuquerque that week.
