Reunion Minutes of Southwestern Veterans Association Meeting
The 1899 Beaver County gathering of the Southwestern Veterans Association featured addresses by Captain Woodman and Captain J. Crothers, musical numbers by the Beaver Cornet Band, and recitations. A report from VP McClure of Stevens County was read, and officers were elected including R. W. Griggs as president and county vice presidents. The group adopted resolutions praising the music teams, the ladies serving in the kitchen, and admitted Clark and Haskell counties to the association. The next reunion was set for Meade, with Beaver County hosting activities and a program continuing into the evening session.
