Obituary of Franklin J Birdsall in Madison area

Franklin J Birdsall born October 2, 1845 in Rochester New York died September 16, 1919 at the home of his son Charles N Birdwall near Madison Oklahoma. A veteran of the Civil War he later moved from Michigan to No Man’s Land in 1899 settling on the Kiowa where Madison lies. He sold goods and saddles then farmed and ranched later running a mortuary at Ivanhoe and Follett Texas. He was married to Grace C Palmer in 1870. she died June 7, 1910. Survived by two children Mass N Birdsall and Mrs A W Campbell. Funeral largely attended with burial at Madison cemetery.
