Tracy arrived back Saturday after a ten day stay in Kane City buying fall goods for FLD WJ and family were summoned to eastern Kansas Sunday by the illness of Mia Wilsons father.
Strong of Eldorado Kansas arrived in Beaver for a ten day visit with relatives. He is the nephew of Mrs B Cole and T McCune.
Be careful how you talk to some folks. Miss Maude Stallings of Woodward visited La Kemp Saturday for a visit with friends LN Edwards cashier of the La Kemp State Bank, wane business caller in Beaver Tuesday. H B Maddox has the material on the round for addition to his rent dance. He will build on the more, room and battery.
A.M. Ives of Balko has purchased the residence owned by Jas H. Crabtree located just north of Crabtree’s home. Ives plans to rent the property.
The Beaver County International Sunday School Association expresses gratitude to the Methodist Episcopal Church for use of their church for the convention. They thank the residents of Forgan for hospitality, praise the basket dinner, and honor retiring county officers including President W. Yavin, Vice President WoT Meador, and Secretary Mrs. W. G Fields. They commend General Secretary UL. Siehole and superintendent C. St. Nichols, and urge continued cooperation among Sunday Schools to extend the convention’s impact with new teachers and delegates.
In Beaver County farmers report generous September rains soaking fields Tuesday and Wednesday. Ground is soft and ready for fall work with wheat sowing progressing and early pasture looking strong as plans build for a favorable next year.
The Beaver County Sunday School Convention gathered last Thursday and Friday at Forgan with delegates from across the county. State Secretary C. H. Nichols and wife attended. W. T.
