Prospects Fine for State Fair Excitement Rising

Oklahoma State Fair opens Saturday for eight days with expected record exhibitor turnout across county exhibits machinery culinary automotive livestock and poultry. Officials say this year will be best balanced with new educational and entertainment features including two days of auto races four days of harness and running and the costly Last Days of Pompeii production requiring hundreds of workers and fireworks. Meanwhile eight year old daughter of Mr and Mrs H C Gray of Beaver dies after brief illness funeral held Riverside cemetery with county officials attending in sympathy.

New Meat Market Opens in Beaver Basement

C F Lewis of Lewis and McCoy sold his stake in a pool hall this week to R L Russell who assumed possession today. Lewis plans to devote time to the sale of puncture proof automobile tires and has been a former manager at DeGraw and Company grocery. Russell is a known figure in Heaver's business circle with many friends ready to reconnect in business.

Riverside woman dies of blood poisoning after childbirth

Mrs Thomas Dublo of Riverside died Tuesday night from blood poisoning. She left ten children, the youngest an infant of two weeks. Interment was in Riverside cemetery Wednesday evening. family left to face life without their devoted mother. The Herald extends sympathy to the family.
