Indians at Beaver County Fair Promises Great Attraction

Beaver County Fair Association secretary K L Fickel announces a large display for October featuring a twenty member Cheyenne Indian band. An Indian Village will mimic plains life with Wigwam Tepees and a chief, plus a war dance and demonstrations such as capture and scalp reenactments, bow and arrow contests, and other cultural features.

Prayers for Peace Called at Beaver Court House

In obedience to a proclamation by the President, Beaver residents gathered at the Court House Sunday afternoon for a prayer meeting seeking peace for war-torn Europe. Though attendance was not as large as hoped, the service was earnest and consecrated.

New Judge Holds Court in County Court Disposition

County Judge John A. Spotts presided as cases were heard in the county court. Death of Beaw Valley child shocks Beaver community

The oldest child of Mr and Mrs Jense Parker a young boy died at school near Beaver Valley Wednesday after long illness with heart troubles. Funeral services were held Thursday at Beaver cemetery with a burial honoring the child’s short life.
