Mrs. Smith, living with her family four miles southeast of Marango, died by drinking carbolic acid early in the week. Her body was found beside a feed stack after life had ended. Authorities believe temporary insanity from homesickness, with no clear motive. She recently moved from Chicago to the farm.
A report confirms Hon. Tom P. Braidwood received his U S Commissioner commission from Judge Cotteral. The community lauds his clean record and promises prompt, satisfactory attention to Beaver county business.
