Man Charged With Manufacturing Whiskey Bound Over in Oklahoma City Case
Deputy U S Marshal Barker brought John Matlock of near Hooker to Beaver for trial before U S Commissioner Thon P Braidwood. Matlock faced a whiskey manufacture charge after arrest with four gallons of whiskey a stir and eight barrels of mash in Lin possession. He waived preliminary examination and was bound over in $1 000 to appear at the next federal court term in Oklahoma City. He gave bond for his future appearance.

A. J. Billett, 48, died at home southeast of Lorena Oklahoma on Saturday November 4 1923 after a severe illness. He is survived by his wife and several children. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Independence church conducted by Rev Butler with interment in Independence cemetery.
