A local store promotes new spring attire from five to seventy dollars on mens youths and children's clothing under Kantbek beat trade mark. Emphasizes light wear for warm days and up to date selections that fit both pocket and taste.
Beaver residents share a week of events with notices of visitors, dances, balls, illness recoveries, new neighbors, and local business promotions. Dr J K Tong card, wallpaper sales, and Crescent paints appear among society briefings.
Eastern Oklahoma by past month engaged in work with the Rebekah lodge. Mrs. L. M. Stlart, once with Jim Ford at Gens Pharmacy, returned home via Beaver Friday. Memorial sermons, local ranch moves, and school plans fill Beaver and Holland Parish columns with notes on teaching, business shifts, and community events.
At the annual school meeting HMalick was elected clerk for one year and WT Quinn treasurer for three. A school levy was set with $1 monthly for non-resident pupils in primary and $2 in advanced rooms. Tuition due in advance. Salaries left to the board. Residents taxed $1 yearly for their residence and $10 yearly for business on Douglas Avenue. Bonding discussed. 44 percent bond recommended. Beav er county farmer’s show noted. Weather and crops described unfavorably. June brides and wedding topics featured from Holland's Magazine. Women’s Relief Corps resolutions urge equal rights in Oklahoma state constitution. Decoration Day observed with large crowds, ceremonies, and a big church program. Beaver base ball game vs Floris ending 18-17 in favor of Floris. Sheriff Naylor quieted a disturbance. Printer needed for Hamann in June and July. apply by June 10.
