Annuel School Meeting and Community News

At the annual school meeting HMalick was elected clerk for one year and WT Quinn treasurer for three. A school levy was set with $1 monthly for non-resident pupils in primary and $2 in advanced rooms. Tuition due in advance. Salaries left to the board. Residents taxed $1 yearly for their residence and $10 yearly for business on Douglas Avenue. Bonding discussed. 44 percent bond recommended. Beav er county farmer’s show noted. Weather and crops described unfavorably. June brides and wedding topics featured from Holland's Magazine. Women’s Relief Corps resolutions urge equal rights in Oklahoma state constitution. Decoration Day observed with large crowds, ceremonies, and a big church program. Beaver base ball game vs Floris ending 18-17 in favor of Floris. Sheriff Naylor quieted a disturbance. Printer needed for Hamann in June and July. apply by June 10.
