Reports indicate a tornado swept through the country about sixty miles southeast Sunday evening, striking Arnett and Mutual in Ellis county and killing fourteen persons. The new school law sets school board elections for 1008 with directors for three years clerks for two and treasurers for one. Official jurisdiction ends with their terms. A woman was allegedly thrown from a horse as her foot became entangled in a stirrup leather and she was dragged to death. Investigators describe a fatal equestrian accident with a tragic outcome and ongoing inquiries.
Information from Beaver reports Mrs Louis Larson died after being dragged by a saddle horse in Riverside Tuesday night. She rode alone around 1 o clock while visiting her land interests, became tangled in a strap, and was found unconscious near Beaver River. She died at 8 pm with husband Louis Larson en route from Oklahoma City.
Those who were asked to perform with the music for Memorial and Decoration days will gather for practice at the Methodist church Friday night. All listed participants should be present. HM and Buneox sign as Chairman.

Beav er community outlines Decoration Day events for May 30 observing grave decor at the cemetery. Spanish American and Confederate soldiers, Womens Relief Corps, and local groups will lead a parade to and from the graves with services, then decorate. A program at the courthouse includes music and committees to decorate, furnish conveyance, and man firing squad. Eight girls under Mrs Blanchard will assist.
