Sudden Death of Little One in Woodward
Word arrived Monday of the death of six year old son of Mrs. Vern Shockley at Woodward after a visit with his grandmother. He became ill suddenly and was taken to a hospital where appendicitis was suspected but ruled out. He died a few hours later. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Friends of Mrs. Shockley in Balko and here expressed sympathy.

Grade School Closes After Fine Program At Church
On Friday the Bea ver schools closed with a well planned program by Primary and Intermediate students at the Christian church. The event drew patrons and was well received though Miss Helen Murphy, teacher of the second and third grades, was absent due to her mother’s death. Patrons and pupils expressed sorrow at her loss.

Passes 80th Milestone Drummond Celebrates Birthday

He has long worked across Towa Kai Texac and Oklahoma and served in the Civil War era. He remains active in the trade and in business ventures and plans to live another eighty years.
