Diamond Dick Escapes on Woodward Train Transit
Diamond Dick escaped while being transported to the State Penitentiary at McAlester. Sherif Bridgewater reported the rear-ward escape as the train pulled out of Woodward, the train’s speed carrying the fugitive about four miles before stopping. A search followed with no trace found. Bridgewater later moved the other prisoner to McAlester and returned with Arthur O. Smith for a new trial.

Infant Buried After Illness in Beaver Cemetery
The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. E. Pittman was buried in Beaver cemetery on March 18, 1922, with Rev. Carter conducting. Mr. Pittman of Gray and two Pittman sisters from Laverne attended the funeral. Mrs. Pittman had been critically ill but is improving now. Our sympathy goes to the Pittman family.

Child Dies in Elkhart Kansas Dearly Beloved Family Mourned
