The Herald offers a final March special for renewals and new subscriptions. Inside county residents pay 1.00 per year and outside county 1.60 for March only. After March 3 the rates rise to 1.50 inside and 2.00 outside, urging immediate action.
Card of thanks expresses gratitude to friends neighbors and local lodges for support during illness and after death. Several names visit Beaver Woodward Balko and Forgan for business and social calls. Several quotes touch on farming and economy with a note on export records and farm prices.
The Herald office is cut off by heavy snow with drifts many feet high delaying publication. Despite the disruption the paper notes the snow will indirectly benefit wheat and grain growers and provides a modest acknowledgment of the situation.
J F Fuller of the Motor Supply Company of Enid was in Beaver the first of the week. Verne Coles formerly of Beaver began work for the company at the start of the year and, in a short time, has risen to third in sales among many salesmen. Beaver friends will be glad to hear of Mr Coles good progress.
A birthday party for Corrine Bulick marked her fifteenth birthday hosted Tuesday evening at Mr and Mrs Willis Jands home. Twenty one youths attended and refreshments concluded the pleasant evening.
The Five Hundred Club was entertained Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Spurrier. Guests included Mrs. Van Stewart and several couples. A two course luncheon was served. Local residents and visitors from Elmwood, Laverne, Beaver, Floris, and nearby areas attended and conducted county business.
On account of the storm the Sebastian sale is postponed to March 27. The offering will proceed as previously advised. if you are unable to attend write for a catalog. Be on hand to buy one of the bags selling. price four dollars.
B J Jones of Modesto visits Beaver for court motions in District Judge Sutton's courtroom. Beaver commissioners extend tax payment deadline to April 1 1922. Other notes include travel of W F Chapman from Mee cane, family updates, a sick report on Jesse Mathis, and local church missionary apportionment to Sitka Alaska.
