Glove production shines as audience fills spellbound night

Out in the Street at Globe drew 150 people fully, prompting a repeat next Saturday with revised prices. Cast members received praise for their creditable performances amid strong local support and high demand. Receipts reached $10.40 as more theatergoers sought another show.

Thomas Retires as Long-Serving Local Postmaster

J R Thomas ends nineteen years of continuous service as postmaster after nine tee years in the position. His term expired last month but he stayed over until the new appointee could arrive. He served under both Democratic and Republican administrations, earning broad goodwill and a legion of friends for faithful and honorable service to patrons and the postal system.

Ruby B Dodson Marries Lloyd Dowdy In Memphis Arrival

Mine Ruby B. Dodson arrived from Memphis Saturday and united in marriage to Lloyd E. Dowdy a carpenter who recently settled here. The ceremony took place at Rev L Shaw home officiated by Rev Shaw and witnessed by groom’s friends. They will reside with H B Maddox family and begin housekeeping as congratulations pour in for a long life together.

Return to California for Quink brothers

Booek and Oreille Quink depart Beaver with their parents J R Quine and relatives to return to California where both work for a railroad construction company. Friends wish them well as they travel via Liberal Kapess and plan a stop in Des Moines New Mexico to visit relatives Nora Quinn and Harmon Fox.

Southwest auto endurance race planned through eight towns

Boise City and seven Kansas towns will finance and stage the biggest automobile endurance race in the Southwest. First car starts from Guymon at o'clock a m with others departing every five minutes, route through Hooker Tyrone Elkhart Boise City Texhoma Goodwell and finishing back in Guymon.

Local Businesses Add Fountain and New Attractions

The Davis Drag Company installed a new cold drink fountain this past week, enhancing interior appeal and promising improved service. Willis Jones and John Sanders bought the Main & Row pool hall, adding an electric piano purchased through Trans A Kadada, with installation planned next week at Globe Theatre. Rev Hamblen organized Baptist services, and a church may form with Sunday march 12 events and regular services announced for the near future.

The Harry D Truax Undertaking Company relocates to the north side of the Herald office, offering an up to date parlor and planning to occupy the entire north half once space is ready. They will also handle pianos, Victrolas, and portrait framing with Wm. B. Kanada as embalmer in charge.

A Good Man Brothers Helped By Revival Ending

Myste han been called to past two years eloved his work and will take up work in another field. The revival closed Sunday with a closing sermon and a large dinner. Many were added to the church and his untiring efforts inspired greater zeal for religious work in the community.

Work began on a new 25 by 34 foot one story structure with basement at the corner of First street and Douglas avenue to be erected by J C Niles.
