Death of Mrs. Harry Wellborn Stuns Beaver Community

The Beaver Oklahoma area mourns the death of Mrs. Harry Wellborn, a young, devoted mother and wife, after a long illness. Her passing affects husband Harry Welborn, their 15 month old son, her parents, siblings, and many friends. Funeral services were held at Beaver Presbyterian church with interment at Beaver Point. Bernice Wellborn, born May 25 in Norwich Ravens, died June 20 1900 at Englewood Kansas aged 2 years 25 days.

Farewell Surprise for Murphy Grandchildren at Beaver

A younger set held a farewell surprise at the Thomas home on a Thursday evening for Hasel and Helen Murphy grandchildren of Mr and Mrs J R Thomas. Outdoor games and a feast of cream and cake punctuated the gathering. The Murphy children planned to travel to Missouri on Saturday but extended their stay, leaving Beaver Tuesday morning with Pred Treacy driving to Liberal.
