Beaver High Ice Cream Social Draws Bevy of Townsfolk

Beaver High School students held an ice cream social on Lin Jano at the home of Mr. W Moore Friday evening. A large crowd including Normal student visitors attended. The Beaver Band performed selections and the event raised a neat sum to help fund the annuals produced by the Immern.

Rain Restores Dry Fields as Wheat Cutting Looms

A splen did rain visited the vicinity on Monday morning ending a two week dry spell. Dark clouds gathered and a three hour downpour cooled parched fields and pastures. Over half an inch of water fell in 24 hours with clouds and intermittent showers through the night. Tuesday was cool and cloudy. Wednesday cleared with bright sunshine and renewed hope as wheat cutting began in many areas and should be general by early next week.

Arrangements Made to Complete Railroad Grade

The Beaver Meade and Englewood railroad company planned the last stage of grading from Soros to the end of the line near the Wichita Pall.
