Mrs. Christian Polke died at her home six miles south of town on Friday June 29 1900 after years of illness. She was sixty four and survived by her second husband and three children two of whom live in Iowa. Funeral held Saturday at Beaver Cemetery with Rev Bagsley officiating. Dewsie Fox three year old daughter of Mr and Mrs J W Fox died Sunday night from scarlet fever, the second case in the home. Remains laid to rest in Beaver Cemetery Monday evening following burial services by Rev Bagsley.
