The many friends of Art Thomas, previously gravely ill with a serious illness, are glad to hear he is much improved. He faced a perilous time and seemed unable to recover, but with careful and skilled care from doctors and nurses he has moved beyond the worst of the illness.
Judge J A Spohn and Rev J E Perkins organized a Beaver County Red Cross branch in Blue Grass Friday night. Mrs G M Gregory was named chairman and Miss Metta Ward secretary. The group reported strong enthusiasm and aims to begin active work.
A light snow accumulation over the past week aided ground conditions as attorney W. Gelaxe from Meade, Kansas, again defeated Topinka in the State vs. Topinka case before Judge J. A. Spohn. No details were given on any issue with his status in the case.
