Beaver Considers Electric Light Plant Proposition

Englewood editor Nipper visited Beaver to gauge interest in a local electric light plant. A meeting discussed terms including lamp pledges, land and building needs, freight costs, and a $6,000 stock company with $4,500 paid in. Action postponed as committees study feasible light pledges and plan next steps.

Marriage at Fort Worth in 1008 weds Wale Stallings and Kathe Black

Wale W Stallings of Conroy and Miss Kathe Black of Ft Worth Texas were married January 30 1008 at First Presbyterian Church Gat Place Fort Worth. After a 7 0’clock ceremony they left by train to their Beaver County ranch for a life together. The bride is praised for grace and polish and the groom for sobriety and industry. Warm congratulations are extended by the Hinata readers.

Old Soldier Evans Dies in Beaver County

Comrade Evans, a longtime member of the GA. R., passed away last week near Beaver due to pneumonia. Funeral services were held Sunday and he was buried in Beaver County.

Ninety Foot Pipeworm Prompts Cooper Medicine Claim

During a Chicago visit by L. T. Cooper, hundreds report passing large internal parasites after taking his preparation. Emil Winkler of 152 East Ohio Street Ninaco recalls a pipeworm over ninety feet long, claiming the remedy cured years of illness and headaches.

Aged Mother Micha Ann Meese Dies in Beaver

Mrs. Micha Ann Meese died February 1 1908 at 6 pm in Beaver Oklahoma, at the home of her son H D Meese. Born Ohio September 27 1438 she was married to William C Meese who died Easter 1905. She left seven children four surviving including H D Meese John P Moose Alice Libbey and Allen Moose. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church with Rev Leonard, and she rests in the Silent City amid mourning relatives and friends.

Post Office Moves to New Quarters

The Beaver post office was moved last week to a building south of the Haenann office that Bulick & Co formerly occupied. The building has been repaired and fitted up and provides comfortable quarters for postal staff and patrons. Postmaster Thomas says extension plans are in place for further improvements and new fixtures soon.

Infant Lois Spear Dies in Hibbs Oklahoma

Lois Alberta Spear died of pneumonia at ten twenty A M in Hibbs Oklahoma at age one year and ten days. She is buried in Floris cemetery on February in a brief service led by Rev T B Paramore quoting John fourteen. Rev Hallmark offered remarks and the sermon reflected on life after death.
