The Beaver Herald reports on the serious stomach cancer of Mr. Wells with little hope of recovery after an examination by Dr. Levi of Liberal. It also mentions Myrtle Wells at the First National Bank, visits by Mrs. Wells and others, Christmas tuberculosis fund sales, local sales ads, dances, town visitors, and a medical note endorsing Chamberlain's Cough Remedy for colds.
Arthur R. Lewis warns women against risky winter dress and urges warm clothing after flu exposure. He cautions mothers about rising diphtheria risk and urges prompt medical consultation for sore throats. December and January are noted as especially dangerous.
Sunday school at Ben Ipei this week ended well with the service enjoyed by all. The collection totaled 4 dollars. A Christmas program is under way at the church with an old fashioned merry time, a real tree, and Santa Claus. Prayer meeting and Workers' Conference are scheduled this week, and Sunday school will be held at Ben Stedman’s home. All are welcome.
