Beaver Ball Team Defeats Forgan 13 to 4 on the Road

Beaver supporters join about ninety percent of residents to back a 13 to 4 win over Forgan. The team, with new uniforms, plans a game in Darrousett Texas next Sunday while local ads note sales by W H Robertson and Wm White. Citizens meet at the Court House in Beaver to organize a county fair. Jeff Holland is president and Ed Humphrey is secretary treasurer. Edwin S Gardner for Beaver County Attorney

The Herald reports Edwin S Gardner seeks Beaver County Attorney. Born in Harper County Kansas he moved to Beaver County and will run to fill the vacancy created by Ross Risley. Gardner served in the Rainbow Division front lines in France from 1917 to 1919 and returned to Beaver in 1920 ready to serve the county faithfully.

B. M. & RB. out of commission due to engine breakdown

The B. M. and RB. has been out of commission for several days after an engine breakdown. Service is expected to resume by week’s end, with freight and mail being trucked from Forgan in the meantime.

Overland Garage Changes Hands

On Saturday of Inet week N B Davie transferred his interest in the Overland Garage to J B Prevost. Prevost takes over management on completion of the invoice while Davie retains the Advance Thamely agency and harborized the Dodge agency, remaining in Beaver to conduct business.

Farm dispute ends in brawl with three fined

A two day argument over possession of a farm led to a Saturday morning fight involving W. H. Webb Rod Rainy and Gen Webb who intervened. Sheriff Couch stopped the melee and all three were brought before Justice Hammond where they were fined seven dollars fifty cents.

Budote y Bornam Passes On

The community mourns Buddie Birnam son of Mr and Mrs A M Burne who died at a liberal hospital after an appendicitis operation. Funeral services were held Monday by Rev Butler of the Methodist church with interment in Beaver cemetery. The community extends sympathy to the grieving family.
