The two weeks old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas Hinkle died last week and was buried Friday in Beaver cemetery. The infant died shortly after birth, in poor physical condition, and the family expresses faith that the child rests in God’s kingdom. Friends extend sympathy to the parents in their bereavement.
We thank friends who offered sympathy during our sorrow at the loss of our little one Mr ax Mas Cras Hivelle. John Dowsett leaves Saturday for Edmond to seek improvement in health. He has been ill two weeks with an abe consin and has suffered intensely. He will not return to Beaver but go to Gay men to take management of a drag storm for B H Tewksbury. Beaver friends regret his departure.
Tackett has received a large soda fountain and will set up a first-class ice cream parlor and confectionery at the White House hotel. He aims to have everything ready for business next week and expects a good opening and strong customers.
The Beaver band played a fine concert at the Court House Tuesday evening before a large audience. The group, one of the best in the region, delivered first class music and drew strong local support from residents.

One of the largest crowds in district court history attended last week. Albert Finley and his wife left Wednesday for Arkansas after serving as witnesses. Mrs Finley taught at the Brown schoolhouse while Mr Finley was a Beaver postmaster.

A district court jury awarded Mrs. Calhoun $5400 net damages and $50 exemplary damages against Dr. Messeramith in a malpractice case. The trial centered on whether the doctor was summoned for a second visit and if delays caused Mrs. Calhoun’s pain and need for another physician in Beaver county. The judge plans to impose a larger judgment upon posttrial costs. Separately, T. A. Womack returns from Blaine county with hopes of locating his missing son reportedly last seen in Liberal, Kansas, amid concerns of foul play.
Mrs Elizabeth Bowser Hibbs sues in county court challenging the last will and probate noting the estate was to be placed in a trust with Fred A Sharon as executor. The will provides income to Haran J Blower for life, then divides assets to Blosser children at twenty one, with portions for Elizabeth Hibbs and her issue, and future trust provisions if heirs die young. Hibbs contends Blosser lacked sound mind or was subjected to duress fraud or undue influence at execution.
Beaver girls beat Balko 8 to 5 in a home weekend basketball clash. Boys and girls games drew a large Beaver crowd with a tied score noted in the earlier match. A third game is set for Beaver grounds on Saturday April 5 with more contests and a baseball game between Cough and LaKemp.
Reported floods sweep the Ohio Valley and tributaries inundating towns and cities. Casualties reach into the thousands with Dayton, Indianapolis and other cities suffering major losses. Fire follows the floods, adding to the destruction while residents seek safety and aid amid widespread devastation.
