District Clerk R W Reed reports plant operating satisfactorily and mentions J J Clarke injuring his right hand while unloading a scoop. Road works include rubble spreading near Cemetery Road, grading and guttering on Lorna Street, gravelling about 30 chains, experimenting with blue sand, and planning a spoon drain east of P Fox. Two washouts on the road east of J L Fahey, bad patches on D Boulton road, rubbling needed after wet weather, and 10 chains suggested on Kelly road for a better track. Poets are born, and there doesn't seem to be any remedy for it.
