Jamestown District Council Minutes December 20 1946
The Jamestown District Council met in the Council Chamber on December 20 1946 at 11 am chaired by Cr Cronin with Crs Smart Swearse Catford and others present. Matters discussed included repairs and overhaul of the RD$ Tractor and weighing-bridge works at Calowie, fire fighting equipment and bush fire awareness, filing of reports by Overseer and Rangers, staff dismissals and reinstatements, leases for parklands and recreation grounds at Calowie, financials and contracts for road works and gravel formation, and purchase considerations for machinery including a loader on tractors.
