District Council Meeting at Yacka July 1928
District Council of Georgetown held a meeting on July 24 1928 with councillors Lyons Thomas Smallacombe Richards Harvey Smart Thomas and Odners present. John A Lyons elected chairman for the year. Overseer and auditor reports adopted. Resolutions include electing doctors for destitute poor and Aborigines, leasing and fencing moves, park land uses for clubs, road inspections, renewal of leases, camping allowances, dog registration enforcement, by law notices, and 1928 29 assessment unchanged. Finance totals recorded.
