Gladstone defeated Laura at Laura sealing the minor premiership with an undefeated season. The match featured heavy Gladstone dominance across terms with Laura briefly contesting late. Umpire was Mr. F Groom and key plays included Travers O’Brien and Reichstein among scorers.

A July 17 bachelors ball at Gladstone Institute Hall supported St. Peter's new Roman Catholic Church. About 250 attendees from Port Pirie Jamestown Caltoowie Laura Georgetown and nearby districts enjoyed decorated halls music by Rohrheim's Port Pirie Orchestra and a memorial hall supper. The event honored by Mayor Harslett and committee members and featured extensive attendance lists of local residents and guests.
