Jamestown Receives Beresford Trailer Pump
The Director of Emergency Fire Services Mr. T. J. Meaney delivered a Beresford Trailer Pump and base equipment to Jamestown. Demonstrations showed 205 gallons per minute output and a 400 gallon tank filled in under two minutes, with the unit mounted on a corporation lorry for water conservation. A public meeting urged community support and suggested farmer water stands to aid firefighting efforts.
