The Informer's Fate in the Gulf of Aden Adventure
A first person tale recounts HMS Spitfire crews pursuing pirates off Socotra and Mirbat. They board a disguised merchantman, engage forty pirate dhows, sinking three craft in seven minutes. Survivors, including two dhow captains, are rescued, and brutal piracy ends with the brig True Flag’s fate and a desert shore confrontation.
