The Democratic County Convention at the Court House elected officers led by Dr. O F Sears as chair and approved a platform praising President Cleveland and reform efforts. A central committee was named, resolutions adopted urging support for the administration, reform of liquor laws, and party principles. Samuel Ker and John Irving were nominated for Commissioner in the second district, Irving winning unanimously.
