Republican Circus in Dickinson County Convention
A heated Dickinson County Republican convention devolved into a chaotic battle between Wilson and Anderson factions. C B Hoffman and Stambaugh clashed over delegations from Enterprise, with accusations of ballot irregularities and editorials. Meek won temporary chair, followed by contested nominations and fiery resolutions denouncing Concordia action and endorsing John A. Anderson. The crowd roared, chairs were used as platforms, and the event ended in a disordered rush as supporters dispersed.
