Doctor Oakwood Returns From Nebraska After Surgery

Dr Oakwood arrived yesterday after a telegram summoned him last Sunday to Nebraska. He corrected five cross eyes, removed one, and amputated a cancerous breast weighing three pounds. The doctor is a rustier and a fine and successful operator.

The bride wore a lace handkerchief once owned by her grandmother Keiser, a souvenir from prewar days in the old Kentucky home. A lace collar from her step-grandma Taylor also featured among bridal gifts, a keepsake dating back twenty one years.

Rock Island depot near Buckeye Fifth street rises higher

Construction expands at the Rock Island depot corner Buckeye and Fifth. The Santa Fe depot is lower by about three feet.
