Abilene Board Handles Roads and Poor Farm Costs
The Dickinson County Board met July 6 1885 approving viewers on Holland and Lyon township road petitions. They elected J D Rose’s resignation accepted M B McRiel appointed to fill Center Township vacancy and set several road damages and tax sale actions. An appropriation of 5600 dollars funded bridges and orders barred storing sports in the courthouse basement while commissioners Bricker and others oversaw removals.
