Wall Bros erected an opera house above store, Catholics built a brick edifice at 7000 dollars, Methodists finished a neat frame church with furniture at over 6000 dollars. Presbyterians organized in 1870 and built a large church in 1871. Union Hotel finished this fall and rented by J A Hopkins. About forty business houses plus carpenters and blacksmiths.
