Washington insiders expect Dakota and Montana admission bills to be among the first acted on when Congress reopens in December. Montana’s 115,000 population surpasses the before-admission figures of Nebraska Nevada California or Oregon at their entry. Michael Potter of Willow Grove New Jersey, the oldest Democrat, turned 101 on July 18 with a 1,500-guest celebration. He has never split a ticket except once for Nixon of Bridgeton. He never drank to excess though enjoyed a good drink, with brandy his favorite. His Methodist mother believed in personal holiness.
