Chapman Items Grand Dance and Post Office Changes
Last Sabbath services were held across churches followed by the A. O. H. grand dance at the skating rink on Monday night with a large attendance and a supper at the dining hall. T. M. Howe leaves the Post Office to join his cousin in Yerkes corner store. Robi McMillen Jr. becomes Post Office clerk. Farmers prepare for corn but hope cold nights won’t hurt crops. Berry Bros. of Abilene rent the Post Office store room to stock hardware and machinery for farmers in the southwest corner.
