Nixon Yards to Build Air Warship
New York, Dec 31. Nixon announces plans to construct an aerial warship 700 feet long at Nixon yards. The craft will carry 100 passengers with food and fuel for ocean voyages and will be armed with a full gun complement. Estimated cost tops $1,000,000. An Aerial Navigation Company of America with $50 million capital is to order the ship, with Thurlow Wee Barnes named president. The gas envelope uses silk wrapped in aluminum.
