Eldorado Arkansas is hailed as the country s youngest producing oil field. The Mitchell Busey discovery well completed Jan 10 1980 marks a fast growing pool with about 90 operations and 25 completed wells yielding roughly 58 480 barrels of oil and 178 000 000 cubic feet of gas to date. The main pool spans about 12 square miles with most activity north of the center line while top wells southward posted stronger oil output. Storage tanks and pipe lines are under rapid expansion with several 70 000 barrel tanks planned and lines to Homer and other nearby fields being connected for later throughput. Early production suggests potential daily capacity around 12 500 barrels with pipelines to follow within months.

Geologists Plan Survey in Culberson County Lands
Drs. J. Beede and W. Adkins of the Bureau of Economic Geology and Technology will survey two blocks of University lands in Culberson County Texas. One block holds 48 sections and the other 4, totaling 48 080 acres. The land is held for private oil exploration and exploitation. The study will assess oil possibilities and ecological conditions. about two months are expected for the work.
